Rachel Kidd - Hearing Aid Audiologist

My background in Audiology encompasses both NHS clinical work and clinical research, so I was looking for a job that would allow me to grow my clinical skills in an environment that pushes the inclusion of research and up-to-date practice into their service. For example, leading the way with the inclusion of the research-developed Audible Contrast Test from interacoustics into the FHA. I like to provide holistic care to my patients and I came to work for Leightons as I feel they offer a unique patient experience which is holistic, thorough and focused entirely on the patient’s needs and requirements. In my time here I have relished the opportunity to listen to my patients’ needs, discuss with them their requirements, and be able to fit them with the latest and best technology, knowing that they will have great success. I never feel I have to compromise on the service or time I can provide each patient.

The ethos of Leightons is amazing and the training and support given from the very first day is great. Although I did not have prior experience working in the private sector, there was always someone on hand to answer my questions or point me in the right direction. The Professional Services Team and other Hearing Aid Audiologists are always happy to help and support.
