Shellie Forster - Audiologist

  • Having worked as an audiologist in the NHS for 25 years, I moved to a High Street setting during the Covid pandemic. There, I gained valuable insight into private care from a commercial standpoint. I was encouraged to join The Hearing Care Partnership in 2023 because of the ability to offer a personal touch to clients. I had concerns it might be a target-driven approach (which isn’t me). However, I have time to spend with people, offering tests that are unavailable on the High Street. I’m able to deliver high-quality care, tailored to individual needs because of the in-built flexibility of being in control of my diary.

  • I’ve been supported throughout by a caring team that emphasises patient satisfaction, something that’s very close to my heart. I have felt it a hugely worthwhile move, learning new skills in communication, empathic language, and motivating people about hearing health. It’s not all about “selling” a hearing aid.
